NYC: A Winter Spectacular

View from Top of The Rock

Our trip begun with a beautiful sunrise on the air. At 9 a.m. we were already at NYC expecting an incredible trip. First stop, our hotels for check in, and then the city. We walked from 28th to 32nd street were Macy's is. Took pictures along the way on the streets till we got to Rockefeller Center. There was a lot of people around the amazing Christmas Tree, and the skating rink. We went to Top Of The Rock, the Rockefeller Center Observatory. It was the greatest experience, since it was my first time there, the view of the city is out of this World and absolutely worth it.

The next day was going to be a long one, we were going to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. It was set for us to depart at 10 a.m., so we had to get up early and take the subway to South Ferry. There we had to wait in line until it was our time to ship of. The view from the lake was incredible, you could see the entire Manhattan, and also the Statue of Liberty. There we bought the Pedestal ticket before the day that we wanted to go, inside there was a museum and later on you could get out and see Lady Liberty up close. We were there almost 2 hours, later we took the ferry for Ellis Island. Let me tell you, I didn't expected to be that big of a museum. It was 3 stories, and a lot to see, for which we didn’t had a lot of time for it. All the history behind the island is very interesting and I hope everyone gets the chance to visit it. I couldn’t take pictures there with my camera, since my battery died, but I got the chance to take them with my sister's. After almost 3 hours there we took the ferry back to Manhattan. There we had lunch at a small pizzeria close to the Business District, let me tell you that it was good and affordable (sorry for not remembering the name of the place). We walked to Trinity Chapel, the Business District, and also saw the bull from afar. After that long day we head back to our hotels.

For day three we didn’t had the greatest weather, it was rainy and cold (colder). We walked a little on Central Park and visited the zoo. There were so cute and incredible animals, after we went to the gift shop and bought some souvenirs, and then we got a chance to see the petting zoo. After the visit we went to Dallas BBQ at Times Square, incredible food for a great price. Of course M&M's World could not be missed on this trip, followed by Koreatown on 32nd street.

The next day was a trip to Business District, especially to the World Trade Center Memorial. It was the most solemn experience that I had on a museum, every single person was serious and thoughtful. The memorial has 3 stories and it's huge, since it's place where the Twin Towers where. Next stop was Chinatown, in which we did a little bargain and made good deals. At Little Italy, which is next to Chinatown, we had a great Cannoli with a great cup of hot coco. When we went to Soho snow surprised us, it was just a little bit flakes, but it was magic for us.

On New Year's Eve we went to Central Park again, but this time we were able to enjoyed with a nice weather. A walk on the park followed by a stroll to Fifth Avenue, till we made it to St. Patrick's Cathedral. At night we marched our way to where the ball drops. We had a great view of the city from 26th street till 42nd, not a lot of people around at that since they were already at the heart of Times Square waiting for the clock to hit 12m. People from all around the World together, saying goodbye to 2016 and hello to a new year filled with hope and good vibes. It was a great experience filled with emotions that I wish everyone gets the chance to go thought someday.

Alice in Wonderland at Central Park

For New Year's we went to the Empire State Building, which was the best way to start the year. The view was amazing, a great amount of people thought the same, so there was a lot of public on the observatory. After we had a late lunch on Bubba Gump, followed by the Radio City Christmas Spectacular starring the Radio City Rockettes. Believe me when I say that every person that goes on this season should watch the show, it was beautiful and exciting. After that we just walked around the area and took a lot of pictures, but for me it wasn’t over, I had to had my Korean Style chicken wings. That is why I went to eat them with my friend in Bonchon, and also had a little soju with it.

Ending at the Radio City Christmas Spectacular

The final day we just walked around the blocks near the hotel until it was time for us to check out. It was a sweet and sour feeling. We wanted to head home, but the experience was so magical that we didn’t wanted to leave.  (((The following pictures are from different days.)))

Thank you New York City, for an incredible experience that I will never forget. Hope to see you soon! ^.~
