NYC: A Winter Spectacular

View from Top of The Rock

Our trip begun with a beautiful sunrise on the air. At 9 a.m. we were already at NYC expecting an incredible trip. First stop, our hotels for check in, and then the city. We walked from 28th to 32nd street were Macy's is. Took pictures along the way on the streets till we got to Rockefeller Center. There was a lot of people around the amazing Christmas Tree, and the skating rink. We went to Top Of The Rock, the Rockefeller Center Observatory. It was the greatest experience, since it was my first time there, the view of the city is out of this World and absolutely worth it.

The next day was going to be a long one, we were going to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. It was set for us to depart at 10 a.m., so we had to get up early and take the subway to South Ferry. There we had to wait in line until it was our time to ship of. The view from the lake was incredible, you could see the entire Manhattan, and also the Statue of Liberty. There we bought the Pedestal ticket before the day that we wanted to go, inside there was a museum and later on you could get out and see Lady Liberty up close. We were there almost 2 hours, later we took the ferry for Ellis Island. Let me tell you, I didn't expected to be that big of a museum. It was 3 stories, and a lot to see, for which we didn’t had a lot of time for it. All the history behind the island is very interesting and I hope everyone gets the chance to visit it. I couldn’t take pictures there with my camera, since my battery died, but I got the chance to take them with my sister's. After almost 3 hours there we took the ferry back to Manhattan. There we had lunch at a small pizzeria close to the Business District, let me tell you that it was good and affordable (sorry for not remembering the name of the place). We walked to Trinity Chapel, the Business District, and also saw the bull from afar. After that long day we head back to our hotels.

For day three we didn’t had the greatest weather, it was rainy and cold (colder). We walked a little on Central Park and visited the zoo. There were so cute and incredible animals, after we went to the gift shop and bought some souvenirs, and then we got a chance to see the petting zoo. After the visit we went to Dallas BBQ at Times Square, incredible food for a great price. Of course M&M's World could not be missed on this trip, followed by Koreatown on 32nd street.

The next day was a trip to Business District, especially to the World Trade Center Memorial. It was the most solemn experience that I had on a museum, every single person was serious and thoughtful. The memorial has 3 stories and it's huge, since it's place where the Twin Towers where. Next stop was Chinatown, in which we did a little bargain and made good deals. At Little Italy, which is next to Chinatown, we had a great Cannoli with a great cup of hot coco. When we went to Soho snow surprised us, it was just a little bit flakes, but it was magic for us.

9/11 Memorial

On New Year's Eve we went to Central Park again, but this time we were able to enjoyed with a nice weather. A walk on the park followed by a stroll to Fifth Avenue, till we made it to St. Patrick's Cathedral. At night we marched our way to where the ball drops. We had a great view of the city from 26th street till 42nd, not a lot of people around at that since they were already at the heart of Times Square waiting for the clock to hit 12m. People from all around the World together, saying goodbye to 2016 and hello to a new year filled with hope and good vibes. It was a great experience filled with emotions that I wish everyone gets the chance to go thought someday.

Alice in Wonderland at Central Park

For New Year's we went to the Empire State Building, which was the best way to start the year. The view was amazing, a great amount of people thought the same, so there was a lot of public on the observatory. After we had a late lunch on Bubba Gump, followed by the Radio City Christmas Spectacular starring the Radio City Rockettes. Believe me when I say that every person that goes on this season should watch the show, it was beautiful and exciting. After that we just walked around the area and took a lot of pictures, but for me it wasn’t over, I had to had my Korean Style chicken wings. That is why I went to eat them with my friend in Bonchon, and also had a little soju with it.

Ending at the Radio City Christmas Spectacular

The final day we just walked around the blocks near the hotel until it was time for us to check out. It was a sweet and sour feeling. We wanted to head home, but the experience was so magical that we didn’t wanted to leave.  (((The following pictures are from different days.)))

Thank you New York City, for an incredible experience that I will never forget. Hope to see you soon! ^.~

KPOP Charts 2017, 1st Edition: My Top 10

Is a new year, so we have to see what's new for the first month of it. There's great new music for this month, but I will let you know which ones are my top 10.

  1. Goodbye by 2NE1 : One of the top girl groups in the music industry in South Korea announced las November that they would disband. 2NE1 already had the songs for their album and recorded one song, that is why the leader of the group along with the other two remaining members decided to say "Goodbye" to their fans with this song. The lyrics where originally written when member Minzy left the group on March of last year, but the sentiment for both situations where similar. The group release the MV on January 20 of this year, and the song represents the genuine feelings of the leader CL, since she was the one that wrote the lyrics for it. Till next time 2NE1, and for we always a Blackjack (the name of the group's fan).

  1. Touch by Shinhwa: Shinhwa is so far the longest running boy group of the kpop industry, with 20 years and still making it big. The group has release the title track "Touch" for their album "Unchanging", which was released in two parts, one in November of last year with the title track "Orange", and this one released on January. The song gives a mature sexiness, and believe me when I say they really look sexy for their age. The average age of the group is 38 years, come on, if they still have it why not keep on given it to fans!!

  1. Honey Bee by Luna X Hani X Solar: Tree incredible vocals had made a collaboration with Mystic Entertainment for the single "Honey Bee". Luna from f(x), Hani from EXID, and Solar from MAMAMMOO were choseen to make this incredible collaboration that can make you dance and leave you amaze with their incredible singing abilities. Mystic has made other collaborations with artist from other companies, like Suzy, Baekhyun, and Lee Sung Kyung.

  1. Round and Round by Heize ft Han SooJi: This song is part of the OST of the drama "Goblin", specially the intro for the drama. The song "Round and Round" wasn’t part of the OST but it was later added because of the great response of the audience. When released there was a little controversy with the complete song, the beginning of it, which is the part that airs with the drama, was performed by SooJi and the remaining of the song by the singer Heize. For the audience this wasn’t what they expected and even the two singers throw a little dirt to each other. At the end the production apologized to both singers and the audience for their action, and hoped for understanding. I really don’t care about the controversy, I just love every song of the drama and specially this one is one of my favorites.

  1. Pretend by Suzy: After Miss A released an statement that the members would be focusing on individual activities for a while after Jia left the company, the fans where expecting a solo debut from Suzy. Well, your wish has came true. This month Suzy made her solo debut with the mini album "Yes? No?", the song "Pretend" was first released as a gift to the audience on January 16, which destroyed the real time charts on South Korea. The sad ballad talks about the loneliness inside the people that appears to be happy on the outside.

  1. Don’t Say No by Seohyun: Seohyun is the fourth Girls' Generation (GG) member to make a solo album, been Taeyeon, Tiffany, and Hyoyeon. For this solo debut, Seohyun has decided to go with a more mature concept, a different one from her usual cute one for GG. The sound for this album goes from a fusion of R&B and pop to even some tropical house-pop. She won first place on M Countdown, and her album was ranked third place on the World Albums on it's debut.

  1. Hobgoblin by CLC: The girl group CLC has made their comeback with a little dark image. The group made their debut on March of 2015 with the track "Pepe" for the album "First Love". Since then they had a cute and innocent image, but that changed this time. For me they look a little like the former girl group 4Minute (group that disbanded last year), from which they had a little help on the title song from former member of the late group, HyunA. Not surprise now with the similar styles. Aside from that, the song "Hobgoblin" has a nice neat that can make you wanna dance to it.

  1. Cave Me In by Gallant X Tablo X Eric Nam: Gallant is an American singer/songwriter that first was introduced to Asian music industry on the Mnet Asian Music Awards as a special guest to perform his song "Weight in Gold". From this the singer made a collaboration with Epik High's Tablo and singer Eric Nam. The song is a great R&B song that features great vocals from both singers and the amazing rapping skills of Tablo.

  1. Nosedive by Dynamic Duo x Chen: The new song from the Korean hip-hop due features one of the vocals from EXO, Chen. This tracks talks about the ups and downs of life, and how we sometimes deal with them. The song is a sad track filled with emotions, that Chen's voice makes even better. This duo is well known on the Korean hip-hop industry and is well phrased by the colleagues, and also on the media.

  1. Chase Me by Dreamcatchers: The new girl group from Happy Face Entertainment made their debut this month with the album "Nightmare" and the single "Chase Me". The group first debuted under the name Minx with five members on 2014, but after not having a successful outcome the company decided to re-debut them with a new name and plus two members. The concept of the video was a little dark and mysterious, which is something different on the kpop industry.

That's all for now! Thank you for the support and keep on coming back for more kpop music. Like and share!! ^.~
